Classic Cuts

Post by Wintermute »

For anyone still mourning the loss of entertaining daytime radio, this site's kept me amused this afternoon when I should have been working:
http://www.cix.co.uk/~lemoncurry/

P.S.
Check the 10 August 1999 section for Travis's best performance to date.

You clearly don't have access to 6Music then.
Also - have a listen to Dave Gorman on the Listen Again feature on the 6Music website - great music (some of which prompted me to run to iTunes and buy it) combined with Dave Gorman's chat, which can't be bettered...well it might be equalled by Andrew Collins on Sunday afternoon and Jimmy Carr and his mate on XFM on sunday mornings.
I love radio, me. In fact, I far prefer it to telly nowadays.

Edit. Lard's on 6Music and Mark's on Radio 2...the parts don't even come close to matching the sum. In fact Lard's pretty dull on his show.

Edit edit - have a look on the XFM site to get the Ricky Gervais stuff - VERY funny. Also - get the Guardian Podcast of the Rich Gervais show, although it tails off at the end of the run of 12.
This sig gratuitously contains the word 'gratuitously'

For London folk I highly recommend Robert Elms on BBC Radio London.
