I recently decided to upgrade my slowly failing pc to a newer better running one.......... If only i could only get it to work for more than five minutes every two hours!!!
I've built
Asus M2a(?) HDMI board
AM2 6000+
4Gb Adata DDR2 800Mhz
Asus EAH3870 GPU
500Gb Sata Freeagent (robbed this out of an external one as it was cheap)
650W Cooler Master PSU
and 5 120mm fans
And an NZXT rogue case, but that's not all that important
Can i borrow anyones advise as to why it seems to kick out an error message every time i try and do anything with the graphics card????
atikmdag stopped responding
Looked into this but there is no deffinate answer, does anyone here know how to stop it so i can enjoy CS again???
Yeah, I've seen this with the newer drivers with onboard graphics.
Go to www.guru3d.com and visit the forums, in the ATI DRIVERS section you should be able to find older drivers archived there. Give them a go.
Also if you are using Vista 64 , it may be better to alternate between the motherboard drivers on the CD - or removing the drivers and letting vista do its install first (driver support via windows update is fixed in Vista, it does actually give you either the most recent or the best driver for your hardware).
